Camping

“A week of camp life is worth six months of theoretical teaching in a meeting room.”

-Robert Bayden-Powell

Outdoor adventure is the lifeblood of Scouting and supports our aim to inspire a lifelong love of nature and conservation.

  • Monthly campouts- From Wisconsin caves to WWII reenactments, we plan regular 1-2 night campouts throughout the midwest, typically within 1-3 hours of River Forest.

  • Ed Bryant Scout Reservation- An annual week-long summer adventure in central Wisconsin is a cornerstone event where Scouts thrive among a multitude of excellent options available to them!

Meetings

Our twice-monthly meetings are hosted by Grace Lutheran School in River Forest, where we plan and review activities. Scouts benefit from each other's experience while focusing on rank advancements, merit badges, fun activities and camaraderie.

Service

It’s said that service to others is the rent we pay for our time on Earth. Scouts pay it forward in a multitude of ways in our community, from organizing food drives and keeping our environment clean to honoring America’s service members. Volunteer hours are a critical way to Doing a Good Turn Daily while contributing to each Scout’s rank advancement.

Court of Honor

Troop 4066 hosts a twice-annual ceremony to mark each Scout’s ongoing commitment to achieving every Merit Badge, Rank Advancement and service hour. These Courts of Honor are opportunities for family and community to celebrate every Scout’s growth, achievements and involvement.

On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
