-Aviation Merit Badge with UAL Pilot Charles Anderson May 30th (in 2 parts)
We've coordinated a two-part classroom/O'Hare field trip with United Airlines Captain Charles Anderson to offer everyone in the Troop the Aviation Merit Badge. Part 1 happens on Thursday, May 30th from 6-8pm at Grace Lutheran. Part 2 (TBD, likely also a Thursday) will take place at O'Hare International Airport, where Capt. Anderson will have us on the tarmac and onboard to walk through the Merit Badge requirements. Signup here, as we'll need all names in advance for access to a federally-controlled airport.
-Cantigny Bike Ride 6/8-6/9 Signup here for a one-night campout and a delightful 20-mile bike ride west on the Prairie Path Trail to Cantigny Park in Wheaton. The optional biking segments can be done round trip or one way utilizing Metra to return home Sunday morning. While at camp, Scouts will prepare their own meals and enjoy the Cantigny gardens as well as the 1st Division Museum. This is a perfect opportunity for new scouts to get a feel for the Troop in advance of our one-week adventure at Ed Bryant Scout Reserve in July. Please indicate in the Public Comment box if you and/or your Scout will be biking to Cantigny.
-Wisconsin Bike Adventure 6/9-6/15- Do you like bikes? Do you also like cheese? If you answered yes to either of those, you should bike across Wisconsin, a 1st time offer from Troop 4066 thanks to the Zeh and Curtis Families. See the full itinerary and Signup here.
